well the joke is on us.
When nobody is paying attension the most outlandish thing can happen.
I can understand what is with washington. even the drunkist congress_person can see the danger in letting things go this far.
I just can't quite understand where the money angel is. The risk must be worth the chance that something will save America from economic chaos.
Guess we'll "See what happens"

That time again

Things have gotten worse. It is just a daydream but I wounder how difficult it would be to recall the entire House and Senate as well as voting out all incumbents?
There are a few other changes I think would be good.

It is happening

Yes I was waiting to see the first primary results and I am happy to see the first sign that people have remembered the most important aspect of our government. We get to VOTE.
Now there is a lot about the way things are done in DC that could use a make over. Mostly, we can't make changes in any direct way and that is just the way they like it in DC. Actually that's pretty much the way the writers of our constitution wanted it. That is way they didn't make America a democracy, no matter what is generally thought, but instead crafted a constitutional republic. They didn't like a parliament so they created a unique structure. I doubt they ever imagined it would turn into the business it has become.
Please vote out incumbents each time it is possible until there there is a complete change of Government.

change is good

But it could be better, change I mean.
Ya'll didn't do what I suggested and a lot of incumbents are still in office.
What is so hard to get?
Change of government means CHANGE and we didn't get it.
If one thing is clear from how things are going, it is that our President needs to shut up and get to work.
Talking is not doing.
It is clear that
congress is a big over endowed, paint ball fight. Only when they can't keep their ambitions or hormones in control do we get air time.
There is really no hope unless we can dissolve the whole bunch in a vat of DIP like the cartoons they are.
In 2012 we can through out some of them. I guess we got to work on that

OK Let's Do It

Here is the time to get it done. vote out all incumbents.
Now we are stuck in the presidential race a bit. Biden voted for the war.
Obama didn't so we have to have to go with Him. Otherwise vote your heart. If you have no heart, Stay Home! You'd likely vote for Palin and McCane

Just any change is not enough

Finally things have gotten sorted out and the presidental canditates are set. VP's are unlikely to matter much.
Change of government has no choice but to endorse The democratic ticket. Only Obama meets the COG requirement to have voted against the invasion of Iraq.
It would be nice if someone would do the research and list the senators and representives that meet this criteria, however I expect I'll have to do it myself. I recall it is not a long list.
Everyone else must go! Everyone and that includes local and State.
I know all about the objections to that and I see that a IQ test of some sort could be used to qualify, on a regional level, thoes who deserve one more term in office. It is realistic to need good teachers for a refreshed set of public servents.
Idealy a local COG leader or team could identify some criteria to qualify a cantidate for endorsement. This would require unusual honesty and integrity on the part of an COG'r Someone who is really up for it might consider running for an office and really making a difference.
Remember: IF THERE'S ANY DOUBT. VOTE THEM OUT!

Beyond President

Yes,least we forget, many more election campaigns are getting under way. incumbents and hopefuls must stick their necks out and display themselves for all to see. The glut of information age leaves no stone unturned and little is hidden from the public view.
Well, it doesn't really work that way exactly. the dirt digging can get so mindless that nothing becomes Everything and provides cover for truly telling tales. As always, enough power can invisiblize the most blatant abuse.
Still a lot of positions are up for grabs and it is in our best interest to take the best advantage of our franchise.
On the local level it is difficult to separate the good from the bad but fortunately it often makes no difference as unelected staff usually does all the work.
State governments are usually corrupt beyond belief so it can't hurt to replace them all when possible.
On the federal level a simple rule will do: All who voted for the Iraq war must go.
Those who did not vote for the Iraq war may be worth keeping for one more term.

It is a no-brainer. Change is not just good, it is necessary
